Topped with sweet and spicy grilled peaches, these chicken burgers are great for a summertime barbecue.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground chicken
½ cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup 2% milk
3 Tbsp The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 peaches, halved and pitted
2 Tbsp butter, melted
4 burger buns, split
1 cup arugula
4 tsp grainy mustard
Directions
1. Mix together ground chicken, bread crumbs, egg, milk, 2 tbsp hot sauce and green onions. Divide into 4 portions; shape each portion into 1/2-inch thick patties.
2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Grill burgers for about 5 minutes per side or until grill marked and internal temperature reaches 165F.
3. Meanwhile, grill peach halves for 2 minutes per side or until grill marked and tender. Toss with melted butter and remaining hot sauce. Grill buns for about 1 minute or until lightly toasted.
4. Assemble burgers in buns with peaches, arugula and mustard.
Add Brie, feta or goat cheese to burger if desired.
