Serve these honey-glazed sweet potatoes with barbecue ribs, chicken or steak.
Ingredients
2-4 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 5cm chunks
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp honey – substitute maple syrup or agave syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 177 celsius. Add sweet potatoes to lightly greased 20cm square baking dish. Stir together lemon juice, hot sauce, butter, honey salt and pepper; toss with sweet potatoes to coat well.
2. Cover tightly with foil; bake for about 1 hour or until tender. Remove foil; bake for about 20 minutes or until sweet potatoes are glazed and caramelized.
